Mr Tedisco I have been a huge fan for many years but I have lost a great deal of respect for you after supporting Donald Trump. What happened to the man of principles I had voted for in past elections. Just because he is a Republican( since it is convenient for him) it does not mean you as an individual have to support him! If you believe that he is the best person to lead this country then I have to question if YOU are the best to represent me.

The write-in line for President and VP is TOO SMALL to write in 2 names on the ballot. We have a RIGHT to write-in 2 names, especially this year, when the major political parties have miserably failed in their duty to provide suitable candidates. The law needs to be changed RIGHT NOW. This is an emergency because our highly paid public servants don’t think of problems before they happen.

Robert A. Brehm, Co-Executive Director of the New York State Board of Elections wrote to me on Sep. 29, 2016, “We have reviewed the ballot requirements of the NYS Election Law with the County Board of Elections to be sure that the 2016 General Election ballot is compliant.” Complaint with what? A flawed statute our our Constitutional Right to vote as we choose?

The ballot needs changed or some accommodation must be provided so people can exercise their Constitutional Right to vote.

Please be advised that I strongly support a bill which would legalize PHYSICIAN AID IN DYING – similar to the Oregon Law which has been in effect for twenty years.

Someone knocked all the signs down that said Tedisco for Senate at my office

Can you have someone come over and put them back up

    Dear Senator Elect Tedisco,

Since its obvious you’re the guy in my senate district and Farley has given you his seat I hope you will listen to the people a bit more than he did. Here are some things I would like you to work on in your first year in office.

Publicly funded elections to level the playing field

Comprehensive campaign finance reforms, like lower limits, closing loopholes, and strong enforcement

Modern elections and voting, like automatic registration and early voting

Protecting and expanding the vote, including allowing people on parole to vote

    And serious ethics reforms

Of course there is more, but let’s start here.

I realize an election is coming up soon but it it really necessary to litter the corners of Clifton Park with 3,4,5,or 6 signs? One sign should be enough to get yourself noticed, more than one tends to turn off the voters!
  • commented 2016-09-05 20:49:19 -0400
I am so disappointed/actually outraged that you wholeheartedly endorse Trump! You have lost my vote and those of my friends and husband. I would have voted for you otherwise.

    Greetings!

Thanks for all you’ve done for our area! Huge supporter and voter for your cause.

I was driving out of the Malta PriceChopper (the one that’s a stone throw from the 87 roundabouts) when I saw your sign in front of a cemetery. It read, " We’re on Tedisco’s Team". Placement is everything and this IS a high traffic area, but… just thought I’d let you know.

    Best Wishes and Good Luck!

Hon. Sen Tedisco, in this election year, as an incumbent, what are you doing to support the party’s candidate for president, which separates you from other republicans who have abandoned the party candidate?

Sir: Hope you can help me! In Montgomery County, Amsterdam, NY . I have a purchase agreement on the property East of the Water treatment Plant. For ten weeks I have been trying to get CSX Railway at 1 800 232 0144 to replace the right of way to Crossing ID 508717T mile marker QC 173.94 Reference call number 868444. The previous owner is Mr. Ralph Petrone 2080 StHwy 29 Johnstown, NY 12095 Phone 518 3325805. Mr. Petrone has been most helpful. With No Results. I contacted Mr. Delesandro’s office at 518 382 2941. After four weeks the secretary

tells me the problem has to be resolved at the Legislature ??? CSX has taken Right of

Way. Away from Mr. Petrone and me the new buyer. This has gone on far to long. Please give me some ideas of how to resolve this issue in the early part of September 2016. Thank you for any help you might give me soon.

Hi – I’m an AP reporter in Albany working on a story about this year’s Senate primary races and would like to chat with Jim for 5-10 minutes just to see how the race is going, what he’s hearing from voters, etc. He – or someone from the campaign – can contact me at the number/email below.

Senator Farley made his positions clear and open. Your lack of transparency on support for TRUMP is disgraceful and wrong. We deserve better then you in the 49th.

We like what Jim has done in the past, especially Buster’s Law, and the overall job he has done for our district. As someone running for State Senate, we are most interested in where he stands on the Trump Candidacy for US President? Do you endorse him as the Republican candidate?
  • commented 2016-08-01 11:47:22 -0400
Jim I just wanted to tell you that you have our vote.

    Mr. Tedisco,

Why do you want to move to the Senate after all your years representing the people in the Schenectady area in the Assembly?I would think that you could be more effective in the Assembly. In the Senate wouldn’t you have to ‘start over’?

What do you know about the different rural areas that the Senate district covers?

Seems to me you are abandoning one district to ‘move’ to a larger district.

How do I go about getting a Tedisco sign for our lawn? My wife and I are both enrolled Democrats but are heartily behind Mr. Tedisco’s candidacy.
  • commented 2016-07-22 12:22:42 -0400
Just wanted you to know that you are the first candidate to get us to do something we have been intending to do for several years – change our enrollment. (we currently have your sign on our lawn) Sadly, we’ve been informed that while the change is in the process, it will not take effect until after the general elections. So, while we cannot vote for you in the primary, we will certainly urge all we can to vote for you – there is no one else better qualified or more deserving.

Hi Jim, I am a long time Director of the CDTA and have watched it grow and grow to where we now serve 1.7 million riders per year, 70% of which are to bring our public to work each day. About 7 years ago the accounting world passed a directive that all public enities were required to start to carry their post employies health benfits on their balance sheets. I strongly objected to this and said it should be carried to let the public know the potential libility but it should only be a footnote not a dollar amount on the balance sheet. The result so far to our CDTA balance sheet is $41,000,000.00 as an unfunded libility. This GASB 45 rule will require that the full amount be on the balance sheet in 2017 {which in our case is about another 30,000,000.00.We have no way of funding this item, nor do must public transportation organizations, but we all pay the annual amount each year as we always did before GASB 45. Towns, cities and other Public enities most all have the same problem and if fact the State of New York presently carries an unfunded post employment libility of some $77 Billion dollars with no appearent method of reducing the amount with some type of annual basis or any way to pay it off. When this first came about financial organizations were told that they should not consider this item in lending and bonding applications, however I was a loan office at a rather large bank holing company for 50 years and even though I am retired for almost 20 years I don’t remember any way that you did not consider an organizations balance sheet unfunded libilities in approving or rejecting a loan or bonding application. Our NYS Budget Office does not seem to have any concern about this item right now but I wondered if you might take a look before the State budget process is completed next year.

Thank you for any other thoughts that you might have about this issue.

    Art Young
